Dear Dr. Scott
I am writing this letter as my appeal for my financial aid loss. I fully understand that the financial aid that I received comes with a condition where I have to maintain a good grade and I have failed to do that. However, there is something that I have to explain about the situation.
I am currently in the third semester and my grades have been failing only for this particular semester. For the first and second semester, my GPA is 3.9 and 3.8 respectively. This semester, it drops to 3.2 and it has stopped my financial aid. The failing is indeed significant and I fully understand the financial aid loss.
I should let you know that there was a struggle behind the failing grades. My mother is a single mother who lives by herself in my hometown, Kensington, Georgia. A few months ago she was diagnosed with severe back pain and there is no one to take care of here.
