Dear Brian,

I would like to take this time to let you know what a wonderful job you have been doing lately for our company. Your hard work and commitment have really helped us to get through a tough time in our business. We wanted to make sure that you realize the value and respect you have in our company.

We are aware that the number of lay-offs recently has been tough for our company integrity. Besides our employees are concerned about losing their occupations, many of them are also having additional responsibilities which are not included in their descriptions of employment.

We know that you have worked hard to keep your department running both before and during this challenging time. You are not only doing outstanding work, but we also see you even helping your co-workers. You come early in the morning, stay late, and even use your lunch hour to help get the jobs done.  In addition, you do all of these with a great attitude and willingness.

Thank you, Brian for your effort and dedication to our company both over the last couple of months and before that. We really appreciate everything you have done.

Sincerely,

Jimmy Price
