Try To Make A Brainstorming Checklist For Your Group: How Does The Brainstorming Work?

A brainstorming checklist, in many types, has become a standard tool for ideation or development of new ideas. Brainstorming is a way to bring up creative problem solving by asking group members to come up with innovative ideas while holding back criticism or judgment.

How Is Brainstorming Will Work? How To Create A Brainstorm Checklist Correctly?

Several brainstorming procedures need to be known before directly carrying out its activities.

1. Plan your brainstorming session

Make a brainstorming session plan together then enter into a detailed brainstorming checklist.

  • Explain the focus of the brainstorming session by formulating open questions that will invite solutions. For example, “How will we improve customer service” is a better brainstorming question than “What’s wrong with our customer service.”
  • Select the appropriate group for brainstorming. This group can be large or small in number but should include individuals who will be involved in implementing changes or new projects in the long run.
  • Make sure the right time and place for brainstorming. In some cases, workgroups carry out brainstorming outside the workplace to avoid linking with work problems. Brainstorming may take place during weekdays or weekends, both day and night.
  • Choose professional facilitators who can ask questions, know the personality, record ideas, support the evaluation process, and make a solution that is appropriate and following group input.
  • Set the plan for the brainstorming process as well as possible so that the schedule is clear and can be followed by all members. This plan should cover all consumption, transportation, and other critical items.

2. Choose the most appropriate types of the brainstorming process

Brainstorming can be an as simple process as asking questions, gathering answers, and then evaluating. This process produces a collection of possible solutions that are quite good. But often, it requires stronger and more creative encouragement. Facilitators and planners may choose to implement a brainstorming step based on member knowledge and group dynamics. For examples such as Brainwriting, Role Storming, Reverse Brainstorming, and Round Robin Brainstorming.

3. Make a standard rule for the brainstorming process

The brainstorming process will usually begin with a general introduction to the process, basic rules, schedules, and other problem details. Some facilitators set standards related to the use of members’ cellphones and laptops during the brainstorming process that was mentioned in the brainstorming checklist. All group members must understand that, for brainstorming purposes, they are equal. Even a member of top management is currently only a member of the group.

4. Do the Process Of Brainstorming

Obey the basic rules that have been made by the facilitator so that the brainstorming process is fun and comfortable. Also, Be sure to note down all the ideas the members have stated during the process.

5. Conclude the Brainstorming Process

There is a time to evaluate approaches to determine which is most useful when you feel that enough ideas have arisen.

Creating a brainstorming checklist helps you to organize your brainstorming events in a more detailed and structured way.
