In Word 2007, we need to lock the form to check the box. If the way has been locked, then we cannot edit the document. To be able to edit documents, we need to re-open the key on the form. The following is how to lock the form and re-open it.
- On the Developer tab > click Protect group > click Protect Document > click Restrict Formatting and Editing. Then, the task pane will come up on the right side of the Word.
- Then go to the Editing restrictions section and click Allow only this type of editing in the document box.
- In the editing restrictions list, select Filling in forms.
- In the Start enforcement > click Start Enforcing Protection.
- If you want to give a password so that the contents cannot be changed by anyone, type in the Enter new password box, and confirm the password.
- How to unlock the form: like the first step but click Stop Protection.
- You can save as blank checklist pdf or whatever extension

Your work will not be missed if you use the blank checklist diligently. Good luck.
